Praactice Relocation FAQ

We have included some frequently asked questions below which may answer any queries you have about the planned move of premises.

Proposed Relocation of BG Health (Bunbury Road and Griffins Brook) to College Green, 49 Bristol Road South, B31 2AP

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you moving? The existing premises constrict the services we can provide topatients. They do not have sufficient capacity to accommodate all the GP, Nurse and other allied healthcare professionals we need to provide 21st century healthcare.

How is the development being funded? BG Health has been awarded funding from the Estates and Technology Transformation Fund. This is the only successful primary care new development application in Birmingham.

When is the move taking place? We think the move will be between Autumn 2019 and Spring 2020

Who is the Developer? Bournville Village Trust will be responsible for the development and become the landlord when the practice relocates.

Are any other GP Surgeries planning to relocate to College Green?  Granton Medical Centre

Would you become one practice or stay as separate practices? Join to form one practice

Will the Doctors and Staff be moving to the new premises? Yes all the Doctors and Staff will be relocating, so you can continue seeing your existing Doctor and Nurses.

The new location is too far for me to travel? We hope patients will stay with us when we relocate but if you decide it is too far to travel then you can join another local surgery. To search for your nearest surgery or the ones with the best ratings go to the  NHS Choices website
